The Catch for Kids Campaign has returned for a second year of giving back to the community. The Mike Evans Family Foundation is excited to extend Catch for Kids throughout the entirety of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers season and benefit not just one but three amazing organizations that do so much to help others – Children’s Home Network, the Galveston County Teen Parenting Coalition and a Tampa area school. For every yard Mike earns this season, one essential item will be donated to these organizations, and for every touchdown Mike scores, 13 additional items will be donated.
In 2020-2021, Catch for Kids lasted through the duration of the playoffs and thanks to Mike’s performance on the field, 230 items were donated to the Children’s Home Network in Tampa, FL to help children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned. The donated items helped the boys and girls in Children’s Home Network’s care meet their basic hygiene needs, such as deodorant, toothpaste, new socks, and more. Not having to worry about the simple things allows these children to focus on building confidence and other skills they need to succeed.
Our newest Catch for Kids partner, the Galveston County Teen Parenting Coalition, provides services and resources to teen parents around the Galveston, TX area. The donated items from Mike Evans’ Catch for Kids, like car seats and diapers, will help better prepare these young mothers for parenthood.
This season, Catch for Kids will also provide donated items to a Tampa elementary school to help teachers replenish their classroom supplies. In the past, the Mike Evans Family Foundation has encouraged education through college scholarship funding. We are excited to now help Tampa teachers continue to create a positive, learning environment through Catch for Kids.
Join us in giving back to these important organizations. All donations will go towards supplying essential items for the Catch for Kids partners.
