CATCH FOR CHRISTMAS

During the holidays, Mike, Ashli and the Mike Evans Family Foundation give gifts and special experiences to kids in Tampa. Our Annual Catch for Christmas program has included holiday parties, door-to-door gift giving, shopping sprees, college scholarships, and more.

In 2021, Mike and the foundation created multiple events to give back to the Tampa community. Mike, Ashli and their children surprised the staff and kids at Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay with gifts and jerseys. The next day, Mike and Ashli hosted a shopping spree for 13 kids from the Children’s Home Network, a Tampa organization that helps victims of neglect and abuse. In addition, the foundation helped fund four-year college scholarships for six high school students to round out Catch for Christmas for the year.

In 2022 and 2023, the foundation hosted a holiday party for 13 deserving students at the Buccaneers practice facility. Mike surprised each student with a jersey (which he of course signed for them!), lunch and games out on the practice fields. He also gave the group a full behind-the-scenes tour of the facility, ending in the auditorium where the stage was full of hand-selected gifts for each student. This was all a surprise to them, so seeing their faces light up when they see their presents makes this one of our favorite events of the year!
