Mike Evans Family Foundation gives back to Tampa Bay community
Super Bowl Champion Mike Evans and his wife spend a lot of time giving back to the Tampa Bay community though the Mike Evans Foundation.
Evans started the Foundation in 2017, providing scholarships for kids to go to college.
We spoke to the Executive Director of the Mike Evans Family Foundation, Courtney Foss, who says Evans wouldn't have been able to attend Texas A&M without a scholarship himself.

TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans and his wife, Ashli Evans, awarded $65,000 in scholarships to students in Tampa, Fla., Galveston, Texas, and other cities.
As part of the Mike Evans Family Foundation scholarship program, the foundation selected 13 recipients out of more than 100 applicants "whose resilience and personal achievements stood out among the rest."

“Mike was so approachable and down to earth,” said Landen’s mother, Amy. “And I think one of his children is Landen’s age so he was really able to talk to him on his level.”
Yes, Mike Evans, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star wide receiver, hopped on a Zoom meeting with Landen Sapien, an 8-year-old boy who is battling cancer.
“Landen is hard to impress,” admitted Amy. “So to see him slightly starstruck was a neat experience.”
Landen was diagnosed with T-cell leukemia in June of 2019.

Summer and golf just go together in Florida. On Friday, they came together for a good cause as Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans hosted his Celebrity Golf Outing where his Mike Evans Family Foundation donated $25,000 to the University of South Florida in order to help start a scholarship fund for local students in need of financial assistance. They presented the check before everyone teed off and in turn, Evans' Foundation received a $10,000 matching grant from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation Social Justice Fund, also presented on Friday morning.
