We are so thankful for everyone who supported the Mike Evans Family Foundation in 2021. Whether you donated, attended an event, or purchased merchandise, you helped us make a BIG impact during the year. Take a look at all the things Mike and Ashli did in the community through their family foundation over the course of 2021.

$50,000 raised through our golf tournament and bowling event

With your help, we raised over $50,000 to support youth, encourage education, and take a stand against domestic violence through the annual golf tournament and bowling events this past June. We are so excited to see you all at this year’s upcoming events.

150 campers attended our annual football camp in Galveston

Mike and his former high school coaches and teammates hosted the annual free Mike Evans Youth Football Camp in Galveston, TX this past June. Over 150 campers showed up with their game faces on! Everyone had a blast and got to show off their skills. Several lucky campers were surprised with a shopping spree at Academy Sports + Outdoors following the camp. From shirts and shoes to sports equipment, the campers were well-stocked by the time they left the store.

Awarded $65,000 in scholarships to 13 kids from all over the country

To continue encouraging education, we implemented an inaugural scholarship program this past summer. Mike, Ashli and the Foundation awarded $5,000 scholarships to kids from all over the country to help them continue their education. The recipients got to jump on a Zoom call with Mike and Ashli. There was advice, thank you’s, and tons of congratulations throughout the call. It was a special night for everyone.

13 kids attended our Halloween Spooktacular at the Florida Aquarium

This past Halloween, Mike met with 13 children at the Florida Aquarium for a fun, spook-tacular event. The kids got a behind the scenes look at the Aquarium, got their faces painted, and each got to pick out a costume to take home. It was a great day for all.

Donated Thanksgiving meals to families in need

This November, Mike and Ashli donated boxed meals and gift cards from Boston Market to families in the Tampa Bay community to make sure they had a special Thanksgiving with all the fixings. We partnered with another local nonprofit organization, the Thomas Promise Foundation, to distribute the meals to those who needed them most.

Catch for Kids campaign helps children in need, new moms and teachers

Over the course of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers season, the Catch for Kids campaign has been in full swing. For every yard Mike gets, the Foundation is donating an item to those in need, and every touchdown counts as 13 donated items. At the end of the season, we will distribute the items to Children’s Home Network, Galveston County Teen Parenting Coalition, and a Tampa school. We are so thankful for all that Mike does on and off the field to give back to the community.

Annual Catch for Christmas made a BIG impact this holiday season

Our first-ever Catch for Christmas online auction was a complete success. With your help, we raised over $30,000 to give back to underprivileged kids and make sure they felt special during the holidays. The whole Evans family delivered gifts to the Boys & Girls Clubs in Tampa Bay, provided a shopping spree at Target for 13 kids from Children’s Home Network, and presented full four-year college scholarships to six high school students, valued at $23,500 each.

We couldn’t have done it without you and we’re not stopping there! Let’s make 2022 the best year yet!
